Privacy matters.
THE MARGIN by iamtaw is run by Tawfeeqoh Hamzat in Ibadan, Nigeria.
Reader accounts
Your email is used to manage sign-in and account messages. Your display name appears with your comments. Bookmarks, followed topics and reading history belong to your private account. We use them to organise Your Corner, including recommendations from your followed topics.
Emails and enquiries
Newsletter subscriptions require consent and email confirmation. Every newsletter will include an unsubscribe option. Enquiries store the details you submit, the article that referred you and campaign parameters, so Taw can respond and understand where an enquiry came from. Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.
Storage and service providers
Supabase stores accounts and publication data in Ireland. Resend delivers transactional email. Vercel provides hosting. Necessary session cookies keep you signed in; your theme preference is stored on your device. Google Analytics is optional and only loads if a valid measurement ID is configured and you allow analytics. It measures page views on public pages; private account and admin pages are excluded. Query strings, account details and form contents are not sent by our page-view integration. You can withdraw consent through Analytics preferences; reloading removes the loaded analytics script after withdrawal. Google may process analytics data outside Nigeria. No advertising personalisation is enabled.
Your choices
In Your Corner you can remove saved items, unfollow topics, clear reading history, change your password, and permanently delete your reader account. Account deletion also removes your comments. For enquiry or newsletter data requests, use the contact form and choose “Privacy request”. Data is retained while your account or enquiry remains relevant, until deletion is requested or performed.
Comments
Verified accounts may comment. Spam, links and abusive content can be blocked or removed. Readers can report comments for moderation.
